When they got here, Christy picked Melanie up and she promptly spit up on her, which was weird because Melanie had never spit up before that -- she has a few times since. Then she needed a diaper change and started pooping while we were between diapers (she got my pants and her blanket). Once all of that was cleaned up Melanie decided she needed to eat. So finally, about an hour after they arrived, Dad and Christy got to have some Melanie snuggles. For the rest of the trip Dad would ask if she was safe before he'd take her. ;)
Dad got us all some take out from Ruby Tuesdays and took me grocery shopping while we waited for the food to be ready. The best. :) We have Oreos, guys. Spencer had to take off to meet with his study group right after dinner, but Dad and Christy and I had a nice evening together. Christy made us some awesome strawberry shortcake.
On Sunday we had a nice morning getting Melanie all ready for church. It was so fun for me to put her in that pretty white dress. It was pretty ridiculous to change her diaper in it, but we managed.
Spencer's family drove over that morning and met us at the church. It was great to have so much of our family here for it. The blessing was beautiful, and Spencer did a great job.

SUPER sweet pictures! I love them! It always was the best when Dad would take us shopping. :) And out to eat. Those were the days.

ReplyDeleteNope, we bought her a new one. I don't even know what dress I was blessed in or if it is still hanging around somewhere. :)
